Dakar 2010 Etapa 14 Autos Final, Stage 14 Cars Finish

¡CARLOS SAINZ GANA EL DAKAR 2010! Aunque ha tenido que esperar a su cuarta participación, el español Carlos Sainz (VW), campeón del mundo de rally en 1990 y 1992, consigue, al fin, ganar el más prestigioso rally raid. Líder de la general desde la 5ª etapa y, además, ganador de 2 especiales en esta 32ª edición, Sainz se impone al final con un tiempo de 47h10, una ventaja de tan solo 212 sobre su compañero de equipo Nasser Al-Attiyah (VW) y de 3251 sobre otro compañero de equipo el estadounidense Mark Miller (VW). Volkswagen consigue así una triple victoria y su tercer triunfo en la prueba, tras 1980 y 2009. El francés Stéphane Peterhansel (BMW) consigue el cuarto puesto, a 2h1721 del líder, sacando cerca de 2h a su compañero de equipo y compatriota Guerlain Chicherit (BMW), que ocupa el 5º puesto.
